Intensely supportive of the letter and intent of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Camp complies with requirements of the law as we update and upgrade this 30-year old facility. In addition to manageable walkways, trail ways, rest rooms, bathhouses and cabins, Camp Ross Relles is proud of a massive new swimming facility, and our basketball, baseball, tennis, and outdoor meeting venues.

Topographical Features of the Property:
- Camp Ross Relles is an expansive recreational, activities, retreat and conference facility at the 4,000’ level of the Sierra foothills.
- Situated on 228 prime acres in California’s Gold Country, the Camp is some 18 miles and 45 minutes northwest of Nevada City, 2 hours north of Sacramento, and some 3-1/2 hours from San Francisco.
At ground level, the Camp forms a versatile complex of
- 12 inviting cabins -- some winterized -- in clusters of four,
- a completely stocked and equipped ‘40s-style lodge with a wood-paneled interior, a fireplace and spacious outdoor decks,
- a massive, all-new, heated and handicapped-accessible in-ground pool,
- accessible paved and graded dirt pathways,
- a gazebo and campfire-lit amphitheater,
- open craft areas and secluded sharing areas,
- all within range of the Malakoff Diggins State Historical Park and the goldpanner’s trail along Humbug Creek, plus
- navigable lakes, streams, and all the forest and wildlife revelations the Sierra has to offer.
The Camp has traditionally been devoted to the needs and desires of handicapped children and underprivileged youth groups, and for adult/management conferences, not-for-profit by charter. Ideal for groups of 30-120, for stays of a weekend to a week or more, the Camp has perfected the provision of comfortable group retreats in a serene, rustic environment.
